Open your web browser and navigate to the official MetaMask website: https://metamask.io.
Click on the Download button. This will automatically detect your browser and offer you the correct version.
Choose your browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave) and click Install to add the extension.
After installation, click on the MetaMask extension icon and set up your wallet. You'll have options to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Follow the on-screen instructions to secure your wallet with a password and back up your secret recovery phrase.
MetaMask primarily supports Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum-based (ERC-20) tokens. This includes, but is not limited to:
Ether (ETH)
USD Coin (USDC)
Tether (USDT)
DAI
Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC)
Additionally, MetaMask allows you to interact with other blockchains compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), expanding its support to a wider range of tokens.
